Stumbled across this thread post a while ago and everyday it pops into my head. In a world filled with so much information, about any and everything - gurus giving unsolicited advice (and profiting from it), Twitter debates over the same 3 topics, political candidates and their promises, life hacks, and countless “how to become an influencer” videos - the information burn out is felt by so many of us; leaving us in a state of overthinking - trending sounds playing on loop in our minds, distractions and escapisms leaving us stuck.
So what’s up with this perpetual state of thinking? Even just coasting by, endless scrolling while time continues to tick away and our goals seem to slip away with it? Thoughts never processed, emotions never felt and actions left planned but unexecuted.
Here’s where that post comes into practice, especially for overthinkers like us. The only way to get out of my own head is to act. Reminding myself that i don't need more information, more how-tos or steps, and that it’s okay to figure it out as it comes; mistakes will be made but that’s okay too. Allowing myself to think, feel and act, without needing anyone else’s permission and experience the joys (and anxieties) of creating, trying new things and thriving in new spaces.
Here’s to doing more than thinking and learning to live out loud.
